Givenchy is a member of the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture et du Pret-a-Porter and was created in 1952 by designer Hubert de Givenchy. Currently it is owned by the LVMH group. Givenchy is a luxury fashion and perfume house based in France.
Hubert de Givenchy created his luxury brand in 1952 and debuted the Les Séparables collection, which included airy skirts and puffy blouses made of raw cotton. For the first time, he introduced a movie star in an advertising campaign. Monsieur Givenchy and Eau de Vetiver were launched in 1957 and 1959, respectively, and the female fragrance Givenchy was launched in 1970 with the slogan "Who knows why one is reminded of a particular woman and not another one?"
