In the Central government's affidavit submitted to the Supreme Court by the Ministry of Home Affairs through joint secretary, Sanjeev Kumar Jindal, all states have received more than twice as many claims as the dead that were officially recorded at 14,431 deaths.

At a hearing on Monday, the Supreme Court expressed concern at the low number of claims across most states and union territories (UTs).

Delhi High Court on Tuesday sought the Centre's response to an application seeking live streaming of proceedings in cases pertaining to the recognition of same-sex marriages under special, Hindu, and foreign marriage laws.

Future-Amazon case given two more weeks by Supreme Court

​A Supreme Court bench on Monday extended by two weeks the deadline for the Competition Commission of India (CCI) to decide whether to revoke the approval granted to the Amazon-Future Group deal in 2019. Amazon also had the right to object to the Commission.

Vijay Mallya's contempt case will finally be decided on January 18: Supreme Court

It has been announced that the Supreme Court will hear the contempt of court case against fugitive businessman Vijay Mallya on January 18, 2022, despite the Centre's persistent efforts to extradite the businessman to India.

In the absence of Mallya, who resides in the United Kingdom, the Court will hear the counsel on his behalf, 

Delhi High Court informed CAG that the Jal Board did not submit accounts for audit

Delhi Jal Board (DJB) failed to provide its accounts for audit despite numerous written requests by the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG). Harish Khurana of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) requested the CAG to audit the DJB's accounts, claiming there has been no audit in six years.
